( www.PalmTreeComputersystems.com ) has an outstanding opportunity for an energetic and responsible individual to manage and build our company’s IT Department.   The operations of the Network Administrator include Planning, developing, installation, and   maintaining system management, security, networking, hardware, as well as providing local field services and technical support with the ability to up sell/upgrade our client’s IT department if necessary.  Our mission is to provide the best service in the industry to our customers and business clients.  We are expanding nationally and this position can lead to greater opportunities in the near future. 

Responsibilities:

·         Networking and diagnosing networking and hardware problems

·         Responsible for internal IT infrastructure and operations as well as planning and managing external servers

·         Maintain network backups for disaster restoration

·         Monitor network security including virus and spam filtering and firewalls

·         Computing concepts in a TCP/IP based WAN/LAN environment

·         Account management and follow up with clients

·         Support and administer file, print and remote access and network services

·         Equipment maintenance, installation and configuration

·         Provide technical support for clients

·         Follow company’s policies and procedures with solid documentation

·         Be able to connect and support workstations and workgroup LANs

·         Infrastructure Applications Administration (DNS, WINS, DHCP, ACS, Proxy, etc…)

·         Design and implement corporate systems

·         Maintain phone systems and Internet connectivity

·         Analyze issues and create timely solutions to meet operational needs

Job Requirements:

·         Experience with standard IT project management software, reporting, and tracking.

·         Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communications skills.

·         Certifications in Cisco networking equipment, MSCE or CCNA, CCIE preffered but not required, Microsoft certifications

·         Knowledge of Microsoft Networks, IT Exchange, Active Directory A+ Hardware/Software, Network +, IIS, SMS, MS related tools and programs, SQL 2000 and 2005 server, Linux, Unix, Windows Active Directory and Domain, site to site and remote user VPN, Apache, Microsoft Windows server, DSL, ISDN, Frame Delay, POTS dialup, OSI seven layer model, DNS server, email server, Windows system resources, Citrix, Exchange-Outlook, MS Office Suite, Veritas Backup Exec, Intel and Sun servers, Cisco Wireless Access Points, Cisco Catalyst 1900,3500, 5000, 550 switches series, Cisco 2500, 2600, and 3800 router series, DNS, WINS, DHCP, ACS,  SSH, VNC, SFTP, SCP, Secure Token technology, PC Anywhere, HP Openview, EMS, Terminal Servers,  Blackberry Enterprise Server,  Checkpoint Firewall, MAS 200, FRx 6.7  w/ Webport and Forecaster,

·         Strong technical knowledge of backup and recovering strategies, of current network hardware, firewalls, switches, routers, V-LANs, NAS, ISP, VoIP, and SANS.

·         Must be organized and detail oriented with the ability to multitask

·         Must have solid troubleshooting skills and be technically proficient

·         Must have a valid FL driver’s license with clean driving record

·         Good understanding of Web applications such as setting up a Web server,  FTP server, database server, and proxy servers

·         Expertise in Windows XP/Vista and Windows Server 2000/2003 systems

·         Computer science degree or equivalent experience

·         Must pass drug test
