The first personal computer, the MITS Altair 8080, was released in 1975 and changed the world forever. A handful of geeks, (Bill Gates included), saw this humble $395 kit as the beginning of something big . . . but nobody knew how big! The Altair sold a few thousand units in 1975. Today, more than 130 million personal computers are sold each year! How did we get here? Which computer companies will survive? How will they do it?

Palm Tree Computer System (PTCS) has the vision, knowledge and expertise to not only survive, but be an industry leader! PTCS thrives through the personal vision of its founder, Paul Rosarius. Paul’s vision brings together the “the best of the best” in technology and service so PTCS can take its successful business model on the road through the wonderful vehicle of franchises.

The PTCS advantage allows consumers in multiple markets to access a store that can custom-build their computer, provide a full-service computer repair shop, computer training, cellular phones and other wireless devices. In addition, provide for the customer’s home or business, networking and internet connectivity including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), while offering a full line of accessories for all of the products provided. If you don’t want to bring your computer in, or if you need a network built at your business or home, you can schedule a call from PTCS On Call and they will come to your location.

PTCS has a unique and interesting history. In 1996 Paul Rosarius started PTCS in his garage. Within a year he moved into his first location, a 2,100 sq. ft. building on Geneva Drive in Oviedo, Florida. From humble beginnings and one employee, PTCS expanded to an additional 4,100 sq. ft. facility in November, 2003. PTCS now employs 21 people, with an expanded sales floor, warehouse, and increased work area for technicians, training classroom, and office space.

With a client base exceeding 8,000 people, customers and associates were intrigued and began asking Paul when he will sell them a PTCS franchise. Paul partnered with Stan Austin to document the PTCS vision, and prepare the launch of the PTCS franchise offerings through Palm Tree Franchise Corp.

Our target market is population centers of 10,000 to 50,000. Metropolitan areas such as South Florida, Central Florida, Tampa, Jacksonville and Tallahassee can each sustain three to ten stores. We are currently registered to sell franchises in Florida and thirty-four other states.

In addition to new Palm Tree retail stores, we offer a conversion franchise for current computer repair stores or cellular phone stores that want to augment their current business by converting to our proven products, processes and procedures.

Finally, the PTCS On Call franchise is available for the computer technician that wants a home based business. The PTCS On Call franchise will be affiliated with the local PTCS retail store and will perform the service calls requested outside of the store, as well as maintain national service contracts set up through Palm Tree Franchise Corp.

In keeping with our goal to provide community service, each of our franchises will be required to participate in the It’s a God Thing bi-annual food drive and to provide used computers for the Gift from God Computer Foundation, that are refurbished, then donated to local people or non-profit groups who cannot afford new technology.
